Daimon Kaito is a puzzle-loving high school freshman. One day, the president of the student council gives him a mobile device and it leads him to an underground ruin buried in the school. He and his friend Nonoha find an "unsolvable puzzle" hidden in the ruin. The puzzle turns out to be a life-threatening "The Puzzle of Sage" created by the mysterious society "POG". After successfully solving the puzzle, Kaito is selected as a candidate for "Phi Brain" - designated as a Solver and is joined by other Solvers as they battle POG all over the world by solving the "The Puzzle of Sage".
